Why Woodfloors?

Quality hardwood floors can add value to your home and last a lifetime if taken care of properly. They increase in value as your home does, and with proper and simple maintenance, they can last the life of the home. Combine that with their timeless appeal and you can see why hardwood floors remain the most popular hard surface flooring in remodeling and new home construction

Easy to Maintain
Routine maintenance is little more than simple sweeping and vacuuming. Preventive maintenance like area rugs, floor protectors (on ALL furniture on your hardwood floors), and routine maintenance with a proper hardwood floor cleaner (we recommend Bona Swedish Formula Hardwood Floor Care System) should always be exercised. Improper products (namely wax and oil products) can contribute to additional wear, may VOID your warranty, and cause failure when recoating.

Why Woodfloors?

Ecologically Sound
Unlike most floor coverings, wood floors come from a natural resource that is sustainable. Long gone are the days when timber was cut down with little thought for the long term consequences to the world's forests. Today most timber is cut from forests that are carefully managed to ensure continued resources in the future. In fact, according to U.S. Forest Service statistics, almost twice as much hardwood timber is added every year through new growth as is harvested. Additionally, there is more standing hardwood timber today than there was 50 years ago.

Wood floors are a completely natural, biodegradable product. They do not harbor dirt, dust mites, and other common pollutants found in carpeting - there is just nowhere for them to hide. Furthermore, much technology has gone into the development of waterborne products to circumvent environmental issues associated with petroleum products. Water based stains and finishes have much lower   V.O.C. (volatile organic compound) levels than their oil-based predecessors.  Waterborne products present a safe, quick, and odorless option to homeowners planning hardwood finishing projects.

Selection and Variety
With today's technologically advanced manufacturing, stains and finishes, hardwood floors come in many sizes, styles, colors, finishes and species. These many choices can complement any home or office with style and a beautiful product that will last a lifetime.
